a visual storyteller.
My Grandma Jean would always tell me to let things unfold. What is meant to happen, will happen. My philosophy behind photographing your moments is to let them unfold. I want you look back at your photographs and remember the touch of your partners hand holding yours, the way your eyes met, how you held each others gazes, and how it feels to be in love, in each cemented moment.
Your love story matters and preserving it has a value that you’ll continue to feel and reflect on as the years go on.
I am a lover of documentation, light, Lake Michigan, James Taylor at breakfast, looking for petoseky stones, golden hour, sunrises, sewing clothing, vintage photo booths, chocolate chip cookies, and my mini dachshund, Frankie.
Why Photography?
Photography is my way of cementing time and feeding my eternal nostalgia. Photography lets me live in the current moment, rest assured that I can always look back, and peer into the past. I started taking photos as a teenager as a way to get outside, be with friends, create, and preserve fleeting moments. When I assisted at my first wedding, I was astounded that this could be ‘work.’ I was able to enter into a couple’s life at the precipice of their next chapter, immense joy & love, while having the privilege to preserve their relationship through my photographs. It’s my dream job and way of life.
